Hello again from Montreal, where people watch our battles for marriage equality with a mixture of bemusement, pity, and gratitude that they don’t live in the States.
Case in point: This idiotic ruling today from California.
From Time.com this morning: “The gay-marriage ban put in place by Proposition 8 in California will remain as Judge Walker Vaughn’s decision to overturn it is appealed.
“The three-judge panel on the appeals court said they wanted to examine the constitutionality of the ban, according to the Associated Press. The court will hear oral arguments on the case starting in December. A different panel of judges will decide the constitutionality of Proposition 8.”
