Outrage in Canada over minister’s reported deletion of gay rights history from citizenship guide

by

Since we’re Canadian, this piece of news is especially embarrassing.

References to gay and lesbian rights were expunged from a citizenship guide the government of Canada produced.

Jason Kenney, the immigration minister, denies he did it.  But, um, there are memos from his office asking for that very thing.

There’s now a Facebook page calling for Kenney’s resignation, and a campaign to send him gay books – all the better to educate him.

That’s him, sort of, above.
