We’d never heard the term brokeback marriage – ok, we weren’t paying attention – so a story in December’s Philadelphia magazine took us by surprise.
“You are a happily married wife and mother when suddenly you find yourself attracted to… another woman? It happens more often than you think”, trumpets the headline.
Actually, considering what our lesbian friends tell us, we have a very good idea how often it happens.
In fact, there’s even a blog – TruthandLoveAfter40 – dedicated to “women realizing later in life that they love women, but got caught up in living the life that was ‘socially acceptable’”.
